Motorsports

NH International Speedway
Located 10 miles north of Concord, the speedway attracts thousands of race fans from throughout the nation. It is the only super speedway in New England and is host to a diverse series of races, including two NASCAR Nextel Cup series, the NASCAR Busch series, the Craftsmen Truck Series, and the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Tour. Local events also take place at the track.

State Parks

Bear Brook State park
The park is 9,600 acres of heavily forested land offering a fitness course, nature center, swimming, picnicking, playing fields, archery ranges, canoe rentals, nature trails, hunting, fishing, and the best mountain biking in the region. The campground features tent sites, store, and separate beach. In winter, try snowmobiling, ski touring, or dog sledding.

Elm Brook Park
This large U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation area, encompassing Elm Brook Lake (with a boat ramp), Drew Lake Stumpfield Marsh and Stark Pond, offers great fishing. Swimming, hunting, and snowmobiling are allowed on Everett and Hopkinton lakes. Elm Brook Park has four picnic shelters and a beach.

Rollins State Park
Located just outside of downtown Warner off I-89, the park features hiking trails to the peak of Mt. Kearsarge. In the summer, an automobile road takes visitors to within a quarter mile of the summit, where there are excellent views of Vermont and Boston.

Concord on Foot
A self-guided downtown walking tour of more than 50 historic sites, including the State House, New Hampshire Historical Society, First Baptist Church, Eagle Hotel, Phenix Hall, Upham-Walker House and the New Hampshire State Library.
