  • Amazing Service

    Dear

I am writing to thank you for the amazing service my sisters and I received at the Centennial Hotel between January 15-21, 2016. We were in Concord because my father had a stroke and was sent to HealthSouth Rehab. My sister and I flew to NH from PA and VA to be with him. Rather than drive 40 miles each way from his home in Gilford, NH, especially with an impending snow storm, we planned to stay together in Concord for one or two nights to see that Dad got a good start on rehab while we remained safe.

We looked for the closest hotel to HealthSouth Concord and learned about the Centennial. When we mentioned it to the HealthSouth representative at Lakes Region Hospital, he spoke very highly of the hotel and told us about your hospital rate and your fabulous restaurant. When we arrived on January 15, DeeDee was working the reception desk. She was wonderfully sweet and upgraded us from a single queen bed to two queens so my sister and I wouldn't have to share; she ensured we would receive the hospital rate; and she even gave us a coupon for a complimentary breakfast so we wouldn't have to worry about that.

After getting our father settled at the rehab center we came back to the hotel and enjoyed a fabulous meal with great service. My sister left the following day while I stayed on with dad for what I thought was to be one more night. To make things as comfortable as possible, Elaine moved some reservations around so that I could stay in the same room and not have to move my belongings. That turned out to be fortuitous.

The next day my father’s symptoms worsened and he was sent to the ER at Concord Hospital. Not knowing what the outcome would be of this second visit to the ER, my sister from PA flew back to join me, and our other two sisters flew in from FL and TX. We were fortunate to have a room with two beds to accommodate a total of four sisters. The staff was gracious in continuing to reserve the room as long as we needed it. We ultimately transferred dad to PA so we could better care for him closer to at least one of our homes, and we are forever grateful for the warmth and flexibility provided by the Centennial staff.

I wanted to write this email because I have been in the travel industry for 10 years and I know people always remember to write when things go wrong but not always when things go right. The staff at the Centennial were amazing, especially DeeDee and Elaine. It was a tense and stressful time but not having to worry about a place to stay was a blessing. Please share my thanks with everyone there.

    Sincerely,

    Katie Dow

Hello Sue (Chef James, Connor & Dayle) –

I wanted to thank you all for making our annual celebratory staff meeting such an amazing experience. Everything was so perfect from the homemade hot chocolate, to the seasonings on the food, the delicious desserts, and all of the little details that were taken care of.
